5th Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls Championship
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has not reached her 19th birthday by May 2, 2010, who has not finished high school, is a legal resident of North Carolina or South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and has a current USGA handicap index® at a CGA member club that does not exceed 18.4. Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the event, by the CGA or the host club. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct or cell phone use during a stipulated round. All players must conform to the “USGA Rules of Amateur Status” as specified in “The Rules of Golf”. For complete residency and eligibility requirements, refer to the CGA Tournament Manual at the CGA website, (www.carolinasgolf.org).
ENTRIES
All players, including those exempt, must complete an official entry form. Online entry applications may be completed at www.carolinasgolf.org. Fax, e-mail, telephone, incomplete, illegible, or entries received before the opening date and after the closing date, are not accepted. Exempt players are accepted at time of entry. Non-exempt players gain entry into the championship on a first come first serve basis. The CGA is not responsible for errors or delays by any mail courier or internet service provider. Entries are only accepted between the open and close dates as stated above. Confirmation of acceptance is sent to players when their status is determined. Status may be checked at www.carolinasgolf.org. The entry fee must be paid by each player and must accompany this form. Only one entry fee per check. Make check payable to the Carolinas Golf Association. Detach, sign and mail the entry form with the $80 entry fee to the CGA, PO Box 319, West End, NC 27376. A player whose check is returned for insufficient funds may be disqualified indefinitely from CGA competitions. Players who "Did Not Show" (DNS) or "No Card" (NC) are suspended from next year’s Vicki DiSantis Junior Girls’ Championship.
REFUND POLICY
Entry fee refund policy schedule:
Open Date to Close Date: Full refund minus $25.00 administrative fee if entry accepted into championship.
Day after Close Date to day prior to Championship: 50% entry fee refunded regardless of reason.
Withdraw on Championship Date: No refund for any reason.
RULES
USGA Rules of Golf govern play. Questions will be decided by the on-site Rules Committee whose decision will be final. Notice to Players and local rules are posted at host club and distributed at the starting tee(s). The CGA reserves the right to alter the conditions or schedules as stated, including alteration of the stipulated round(s) at any time during the championship. The competition is closed when the championship trophy has been presented. Special requests for starting times or pairings are not granted.
FORMAT; YARDAGES
The championship format is 36 holes of stroke play. A tie for the overall championship is decided by an on-course playoff. All competitors will play from approximately 6000 yards.
DIVISION; PRIZES; TEAM MATCHES
All competitors will compete in one division. Trophies are awarded to the top 6 players. A tie for the overall championship is decided by an on-course playoff. All other ties will be broken by the USGA recommended matching of cards playoff system. The champion will be invited to represent the CGA in the Mid-Atlantic Challenge Girls’ Team Matches at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, VA on July 31-August 1, 2010.

Players in the following categories are exempt into the championship. All other players are accepted on a first come first serve basis.

3. Top 8 from 2009 Twin States Girls’ Championship
4. Top 4 from 2009 NC Junior Girls’ Championship
5. Top 4 from 2009 SC Junior Girls’ Championship
6. Top 4 from 2009 SC Junior Girls’ Match Play Championship
7. Top 4 from 2009 Dogwood State Junior Girls’ Championship
8. Top 4 from 2009 CPGA Junior Championship
9. Top 4 from 2009 CPGA Charles Tilghman Junior Championship
10. Top 4 from 2009 Joe Cheves Junior Invitational
11. All 2009 NC & SC High School State Champions
12. All 2009 USGA Junior Girls’ Qualifiers
