Eligibilty: Open to junior golfers who are residents of South Carolina between the ages of 13 and 17 as of June 9, 2009.  Also, the player or his parent/ guardian must be a member of an SCGA member club.

Entries: Entries must be filed either on attached form or register online at www.scgolf.org. Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2009. Exemptions are listed on the SCGA website. All other players will qualify at one of four qualifiers listed below.

Qualifying: On May 9, The courses listed below will host qualifying for the SCGA Junior Championship. Please list which site you prefer to qualify at below. Based on limited availability, all course assignments will be given on a first come first serve basis. You are not guaranteed your first choice. Pairings and course assignments will be made by May 1, 2009. Call the golf shops for practice rounds and local lodging information.

Format: USGA rules apply, 54-hole stroke play with a 36 hole cut in two age brackets. Approximate field size is 140 players and will be divided into a 13-14 age bracket and a 15-17 age bracket playing the same set of tees.

Tee Times: Tee times and pairings for first round will be posted at Bulls Bay and on www.scgolf.org on June 5.

Caddies/ Carts: Caddies are prohibited. Spectator carts are not allowed.

The winner will receive an exemption to compete in the SCGA Amateur to be played at Berkeley Hall. The top 8 finishers will qualify for the SC-GA Junior Team Matches to be played at The Reserve at Keowee on July 17-18, 2009.
