Eligibility
Open to 2009 male members of the SCGA who are residents of South Carolina.  There are no restrictions on age other than the son must be at least 8 years old. Only one team per family.  Entries may be returned to those teams that have not had reasonable activity on their club’s handicap roster as of the most recent update. 

Entries
Entries must be filed either on attached form or register online at www.scgolf.org.  Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on June 10, 2009. Field will be limited to 62 teams.  Entries will be accepted on combined – participation in 2008, handicap indexes, and date of entry.

Format
USGA rules apply, 18-hole alternate shot, stroke play (except that both players will tee off and select one ball to play out the hole.)  Fathers 65 & older and Juniors under 14 can play from a shorter set of tees.  Teams competing for the Championship must have both players play from the Tournament Tees.  Flights will be based on the team’s combined handicap index. There will be a separate flight for teams with a professional playing (The Windermere Club).

Carts
Cart fee of $20.00 / person is not included in tournament entry fee.  Players are required to ride on both practice round and tournament round.

Restrictions
Players are required to adhere to the dress code of the facility and conduct themselves in the manner of keeping with the highest standards of the SCGA.  Players refusing to comply, will be disqualified from the competition.  Plastic, non-traditional spikes will be required for this event.
