Eligibility Open to 2010 members of the SCGA who are residents of South Carolina. Both players must be at least 18 years of age as of March 6, 2010. Entries may be declined for those individuals who have not had reasonable activity on their club’s handicap roster as of the most recent update.
Entries Entries must be filed either on attached form or register online at www.scgolf.org. Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on February 17, 2010. Field will be limited to 112 teams. Priorities are as follows: (1) Exact teams that participated in 2009 (expires Jan 29). (2) Date of application received at SCGA office. Acceptance will be posted on www.scgolf.org by Feb. 19. Please be aware that this event is a fundraiser for the SCJGA and all proceeds will be donated to the SC Junior Golf Association.
Format The Field will be split into two divisions based on combined indexes. The Championship Division will play Woodcreek on Saturday & Spring Valley on Sunday – vice versa for the Tournament Division. USGA rules apply, 36-hole event: 18 hole Captain’s Choice the first day and 18 hole Four-Ball stroke play for the Final Round. The field will be flighted in each Division for Sunday’s final round.
Schedule Feb. 22 – March 5 Practice Round - On a space available basis. Make arrangements through Spring Valley at (803) 788-3084 & Woodcreek at (803) 699-2411 March 6 First round – 18 hole Captain’s Choice, qualify for flights. Lunch following play. March 7 Final round – 18 hole Four-Ball Stroke Play by flights. Tee Times First round – 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. Carts Players are required to rent carts from each facility for $20.00 per player each day, range balls included.
Lodging Hampton Inn ($99) on Clemson Rd. is offering special rates to all participants. For the Hampton Inn call 803-788-4901 and ask for the S.C. Golf Association Rate. Restrictions Players are required to adhere to the dress code of the facility and conduct themselves in the manner of keeping with the highest standards of the SCGA. Players refusing to comply, will be disqualified from the competition.
