Eligibility

Open to junior golfers who are residents of South Carolina between the ages of 13 and 17 as of June 12, 2007.  Also, the player or his parent/ guardian must be a member of an SCGA member club.

Entries

Entries must be filed either on attached form or register online at www.scgolf.org. Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2007. Exemptions are listed on the SCGA website. All other players will qualify at one of four qualifiers listed below.

Qualifying 

On May 12, The courses listed below will host qualifying for the SCGA Junior Championship. Please list which site you prefer to qualify at below. Based on limited availability, all course assignments will be given on a first come first serve basis. You are not guaranteed your first choice. Pairings and course assignments will be made by May 2, 2007. Call the golf shops for practice rounds and local lodging information.

Format 

USGA rules apply, 54-hole stroke play with a 36 hole cut in two age brackets. Approximate field size is 60 players for the 13-14 bracket and 90 for the 15-17 year old competitors.

Schedule

June 11 !Practice round.

June 12 !First round. Lunch voucher for players issued - may be used June 13 or 14. 

June 13 !Second round and 36 hole cut.

June 14 !Final round and awards.

Tee Times

Tee times and pairings for first round will be posted at C.C. of Orangeburg and on www.scgolf.org on June 8.

Caddies, Carts

Caddies are prohibited. Spectator carts are not allowed unless accompanied .

Hotel

Ask for the SCGA rate when calling: new golf Villas and hotel rooms are available through Santee Cooper Golf 803-344-6534. Santee is approximately 30 minutes away. Orangeburg properties are booked with a city wide conference.

SCGA-GA Team Matches

The winner will receive an exemption to compete in the SCGA Amateur to be played at Country Club of SC. The top 8 finishers will qualify for the SC-GA Junior Team Matches to be played at Sage Valley July 27-28, 2007.
